Nusa Penida: Tenah Damai, snorkeling Gamat, & Amok Sunset treehouse dinner

After yesterday’s 8-hour tour (snorkeling three bays and then a land tour to three epic sites), we are planning to rest (mostly) today.

Waking up at this huge villa with a wrap around porch. :)

We’ll hit Amok sunset bar again tonight. Have reservations for dining in their tree house. :) Today, we’ll do some snorkeling at Gamat Bay - maybe Crystal Bay too. Both beaches are 15 and 25 minutes walk from here.

Relaxing here until Sara joins us later this morning :)

Breakfast and then a swim! Pool is down below our verandah

Sara got a scooter taxi. She looks like a movie star!

Kelingking, take 2!  I went with Sara this morning to Kelingking and then we both met up with Nicole at Gamat Bay for some snorkeling.

Let. sleeping. dogs. lie.

Sara started the hike down to the beach (in flip flops!)
The hike - see that knife-edge ridge? Then it has steep zig-zags down down down

Sara loves coconuts!! (it was super hot and she hiked down
toward the beach, until the log jam of people)

Gamat Bay

The hike down down down

Nicole rented this for the day - for $6. Bean bags, snorkel gear... and shaaaade! :))

Great snorkel spot. Gamat Bay. Big reef and tons of awesome reef fishes.

Amok Sunset Bar. We hiked a steep hill from Gamat Bay to here...and then hopped in their pool before dinner. So... nice!

Mt. Agung in the background.

We loved this pool so much!

View from the Tree House!

You can tell the time stamp not just by the sun position, but also by our happy hour drink choices...
